‘Sustainability’ has long been one of the key pillars of the Company’s business foundation and in fact, become a part of its culture. Supermax’s employees, be they C-level management staff or factory workers, are reminded to act ethically across the spectrum of the Group’s activities, from procurement to sales and marketing activities to financial management. Supermax adopts the Stakeholder Approach where stakeholders’ welfare maximisation is emphasised rather than just the pursuit of profit maximisation. We want to be responsible to not only our shareholders but all identifiable stakeholders relating to Supermax.

Globalisation enables parties involved in transactions to be able to benefit (win-win situation) greatly to the extent that surpasses the ability of any individual firm or country could possibly do on its own. Having said that, industrialisation has caused negative by-products that are already harming our green lungs as well as creating great economic inequality such as income and information gaps that will be difficult to bridge. At Supermax, we want to play a more positive role and have identified 4 areas – Economic Sustainability, Environmental Sustainability, Social Sustainability and Good Governance, to focus on and be responsible for.
